Streetfront Completes the Vancouver Marathon

17 Streetfront students summoned the courage to don their race bibs and head out on Sunday May 6th to run the Vancouver Half (21.2 km) and Full Marathon (42.2 km).

Knowing what it takes to complete these races - the Streetfront staff couldn't be more proud of these students. Some students eased through their races and some struggled - but the common theme. Was that no matter how beat up they were - they all willed themselves to completion.

As we've seen before - Streetfront continues to help students accomplish the most amazing of feats. Completing the Vancouver Marathon represents a world class effort for world class kids.

Students who are thinking about their future will find all sorts of valuable resources here including up to date information about scholarships, post secondary institutions, job skills, etc. This section is not just for Grade 12 students. All grades will find these pages are packed with useful information and links.


Grade 12 Information

Periodically there will be important information posted at this location that all Grade 12 students should be reading.

Applications for Grade 12 Academic Scholarships/Bursaries/Awards are now available.  Forms and a current resume are due to Mr. Nipp by Friday, April 27 (updated due date) if you wish to be considered. Please download the form here.

The Grad Banquet will be held on June 25th from 6pm to midnight at the Hotel Vancouver

Grade 12 Scholarship Distribution List

Throughout the year, Britannia Secondary receives important news and information regarding external scholarships, many of these are worth thousands of dollars. If you are a Grade 12 student (or the parent of a Grade 12 student) and wish to be e-mailed this information during the year, please send an e-mail to lnipp@vsb.bc.ca with the subject line "Scholarship Distribution List". No text is needed in the body.

Grade 12 Post-Secondary Information

Now is the time to start actively investigating your post-secondary options as well as how you will pay for them. In the Career Centre section of the Britannia website is the latest information about new admission requirements and costs for UBC, SFU, and many of the Lower Mainland colleges. There is also valuable information about the hundreds of scholarships, awards, and bursaries that can make your post-secondary education much more affordable.
